What I learned about myself:

During this week of service and action I learned that I love working together with my peers as we can make great memories and learn more about each other. I also learned that I have a passion for food and cooking. Since last week’s service and action, I have made my family a variety of baked goods and savory snacks. Furthermore, I learned that It feels good to do something out of the house and to help the community.

What I learned about the community:

I learned that in hard times, like what we have been presented, some members of the community have been hit harder than other and that not everyone can afford to prepare meals for their family without a steady income.

What I learned about food:

I have learned that some types of foods are easier to prepare in bulk. I also learned, what types of foods go with others and I learned what types of food every meal should include (meat, a starch, a vegetable, and a fruit). Lastly, I even learned a lot of new skills in the kitchen, like how to properly peel a potato.
