MEET AMELIE
What’s one ingredient you couldn’t live without?
Chocolate!!! I love chocolate because it can really turn a dessert around. It also can add a sweet taste or a bitter taste. Chocolate is delicious by itself as well because of its hard but creamy texture.
What’s your favorite restaurant?
MY favorite restaurant on this island is definitely Fourways because if you go for brunch, they have over fifty million different foods (not including DESSERTS) you can choose from. I also love that sometimes they have themes such as Asian cuisine and Italian.
Describe what you would chose to eat if it were your last meal ever?
If I had to choose a last meal it would definitely be a Nutella and Banana Sandwich.
What did you have for dinner last night?
For dinner last night I had leftover empanadas from a restaurant that I forgot the name of.
Who taught you how to cook?
My grandma who is a chef teaches me to cook when I visit her. She lives in France so she has great experience and she always has the best ingredients and shows me useful tips and tricks.
What’s your favorite Somersfield “hot lunch?”
I used to get hot lunch but not anymore. When I still got hot lunch i would always look forward for the tacos because you can accessorize them with your favorite toppings. And they also taste delicious.
What is one food you simply will not eat?
I know this a weird and a somewhat cruel answer, but I will not in a million years consume rabbit!! My grandparents love it, but I think it’s absolutely cruel; however I am extremely biased because I have a bunny and she is literally just happiness rolled up into the shape of a bunny.
What is your favorite ice-cream flavor?
I love every single flavor of ice-cream as long as it doesn’t have nuts in it. I DO NOT ENJOY THE FLAVOR OR THE TEXTURE OF NUTS. However if I had to pick a flavor it would be between the classic strawberry or if it’s an option, I would chose salted caramel.
If you had a restaurant, what cuisine would you serve?
IF I had a restaurant, I would probably own a themed restaurant meaning depending on the day of the week I would serve different types of cuisine: Modays could be Italian, or Tuesdays could be Indian. This would allow customers to have a variety of choices and so they wouldn’t get bored.
