Leyli's Stupendous Brazilian Brigadeiros
I chose to make Brigadeiros because it’s a dessert anyone can enjoy. I first found out about these through my mom, because she grew up in Brasil and these are Brazilian treats. They are typically formed into balls after cooling, however due to the humidity of Bermuda’s climate, they stick to your hands and don't easily form into the correct shape unless they have lots of time. Because of this, I brought small plastic containers for the Brigadeiros so we could eat it with a spoon. They are delicious no matter how you serve them! Everyone thought it tasted delicious!
RECIPE:
Ingredients:
2 cans of condensed milk
3-4 Tbsp cocoa powder,
2 Tbsp butter
Sprinkles
METHOD
- Mix condensed milk with butter and f cocoa powder in a Teflon pot, over medium heat on the stove. After the brigadeiro gets thick and starts to detach from the pan, turn the heat off and let it cool. Once cooled put it in the small plastic containers, being careful not to scratch the pan when you scoop it out. For the finishing touch add sprinkles.
“Amazingly delicious and easy to make!”
All's well that ends well!
